I fucking hate the post office.

the fucking fucks have fucking decided to fucking shut the fucking bastard parcel office at 2 fucking oclock in the fucking afternoon.

so my parcel is stuck there until tomorrow.

I wouldnt mind except this is a town of population 25,000 and its in the town centre!!! there was at least 15 staff STILL THERE when I went round the back to ask for my parcel. why couldnt one of the lazy fuckers have just gone and got me my god damn parcel.

    My day.
    Well today has been interesting.

I went to my parents to visit my sister whos staying for a bit and everyone bundled into the parents car for a trip to the stiperstones.

The climb up the hill nearly killed me, but it was worth it for the views. I have some fantastic pictures from the day, incl. a panoramic one.

I've picked out some basics for the water injection design for the daihatsu, too. Hopefully I'll get some of the requisite sensors in the next day or two (if they arent too pricey...) I need (in particular) a 1bar MAP sensor and an ACT sensor to allow my system to measure the characteristics of the air in the intake plenum - temperature and pressure.

The solenoid to control the water injector arrived too, so its all starting to come together. A trip to the scrappie should source me a nice pump and water reservoir, too. All I need then is a suitable nozzle, some pipework, and to get an adapter fabbed up to allow me to fit the nozzle to the knuckle on the pipe fitting that feeds the plenum (will need to get that fitted by an aluminium welding specialist).

Oh and I'll need a pressure regulator for the water pressure line.

once the hardwares done, I'll use my (as yet not arrived) new toy - a USB digital scope / logic analyser to read the sensors and (via a couple of FETs) drive the solenoid / pump, under the control of my laptop. once I dial in the parameters it needs to operate, I'll program them into a PIC or something and make a little stand-alone control box for the thing.

    dilemma
Looking out of my window, its clear that next door have a bee or wasp nest in their attic. I can see the little critters comming and going.

trouble is that they keep trying to come in my window.

I'd say something exceptt hat I expect their reaction will be to exterminate them, and that seems wrong.

I think I will just not open this window and leave the bee/wasps to their own devices.

    wow.
well the cars rear suspension is done.

    Billstein gas shocks
    Apexi stiffened springs
    Whiteline extra-thick antiroll bar
    new  OEM bumpstops
    new OEM droplinks

didnt get time to do the front.

All I can say is WOW. best (half of) 550ukp I ever spent on the car. corners like shes on rails now, no bodyroll. no creaking noises. cruises over bumps with ease. No bouncing and judderring from the back when under moderate to heavy braking.

in fact the back end is so good now that it actually makes it visible how muich the front twists with its OEM parts on it.

I cant wait until the front is also done. wow. just wow.
